Esau is a deeply human drama adapted from the acclaimed novel by Israeli author Meir Shalev. It tells the story of a disillusioned writer, Adam, who returns to his small hometown in Israel after three decades in exile, forced to confront the life he left behind — a life now shaped by his estranged twin brother, Jacob, who stayed, inherited the family bakery, and married the woman they both loved in their youth. Old wounds resurface, family secrets unravel, and a love triangle becomes a catalyst for unexpected revelations.
